Channeling Woody the woodpecker Fors?

If by channeling you mean smoking, and if by Woody the woodpecker you mean marijuana then I think you are correct ;) :P

Bah, you youngsters know nothing of good music… Centerfold, by the J. Geils band. :P   It went dancing thru my head when I read the previous post, and stayed there until I found the time to remember the song's name. ;)

Heh I'm not that young. The fact that I can even remember Woody should prove that.

I am put in mind of this once mentioned and often quoted but of PC lore:

Matsushita Electric is promoting a new Japanese PC targeted for the Internet. Under their brand name Panasonic, they have developed a complete Japanese Web browser, and to make the system "user-friendly," licensed the cartoon character Woody Woodpecker as the Internet guide. Panasonic eventually planned on a world version of the product.
A huge marketing campaign was to have introduced the product in Japan last week. The day before the ads were to be released, Panasonic suddenly pulled back and delayed the product launch indefinitely. The reason: the ads featured the slogan "Touch Woody – The Internet Pecker." An American staff member at the internet product launch explained to the stunned and embarrassed Japanese what "touch Woody" and "pecker" meant in American slang.
-From EE Times, October 8, 1996

It's time for another good idea, bad idea:
Good Idea – Getting your Insider character into the comic
Bad Idea – Joining the EOD to do so.

Gratz to Jacobus for the New Avatar!

And thats why you always check what the name means in other countries where your product will be sold. Chevy had a car in that wouldn't sell well in Mexico. Aparently Nova translates into "Will Not".

No Va translates literally to "We don't move."

I heard it meant "Won't go" but all the translators I found said "Will Not" either way :P

Hm. I wonder if the Transformers ever had this problem with MiniCons…

Do not allow yourself to ever give in to despair or self-pity…that's my job and it's copyrighted, bucko!
