So as many of us here, I'm an old comic collector, I got started before I could read, walking the local shop with my dad, and when I could actually read, he gave me his collection, assorted DC including a near complete Legion of SuperHeroes and Superboy run. Sadly, I lost most of these when my apartment was burglarized on my honeymoon, but i digress…
Last week I found out that part of my collection is actually VALUABLE.

I have Near Mints of the first 4 books, not the a's or the variants. That's over $300 sitting in a box, and to be fiar, they're mediocre books at best. Once the movie comes out, they'll likely tank in value.
Should I sell them now, while they're valuable, or keep them for collections sake?

It's time for another good idea, bad idea: Good Idea – Getting your Insider character into the comic Bad Idea – Joining the EOD to do so. Gratz to Jacobus for the New Avatar!

Question: are you interested in collecting this series?
If the answer is yes, keep'em, but find somewhere a little safer than a box to put them.
If the answer is no, helooooo ebay.

I'm a sentimental swine… I'd hang on to them unless I needed to buy a new kidney or something. That's just me though

I can be rather sentimental as well. I still have stuff that I haven't thrown out because they were gifts (an extra copy of Garth Brooks Double Live, another Batman Retruns DVD, a busted PS2 a knockoff chibi-Goku alarm clock that doesn't work any more and a Spider-Man alarm clock that never quite worked right). However, this sentimentalism just leads to less space.
If you don't like the stories and don't think you'll want to read them anymore, then go ahead. Though I may wait a bit for the prices to increase. Maybe asking "permission" might make it easier?

Do not allow yourself to ever give in to despair or self-pity…that's my job and it's copyrighted, bucko!

I usually charge about that for a custom avatar, so I will pay for postage and we can call it even
Please note I am in no way serious, and nor will I ever be.
