I would wager that this question was handled before the forum reboot, but I only discovered the comics a couple of weeks ago.  I finished getting caught up, but then I thought of something – how did Misty and Becca come to be in the same peer group?  Misty has to be at least three years younger at least.  At that age, that is a huge age gap.  Was an explanation ever given?

It was explained in Issue #3 that Misty is somewhat gifted and very intelligent, or "assellerated". Even though she's two years younger, she skipped ahead a grade or two really early on, when she was just five and Becka & Lindsey was seven.
