2012 doesn't bother me. I do find it annoying when people point out natural disasters as signs of impending doo, and since the Mayans' "prophecy" is so close, panicking NOW is appropriate. First off, the weather goes nuts ALL THE TIME. It's been better (and worse) in the past. Secondly, the Mayan calender simply stopped on that date, and no one knows why. A few people probably assumed the worst (whether or not for a joke) and it spread out to other people as protent to DOOM!
DOOOOOOOOMM!!
Next up for "What doesn't bother you that bothers others?". Meanwhile, I'm gonna sing the Doom Song!
Doom, doom-doom doom! Doomy doom doom-doom!

I am farily layed back really. Most things don't bother me. Unless I am in a bad mood, then a growl at the slightest poke.

Been a while…
What are you having for dinner on Thanksgiving?
Me – Turkey, mashed potatoes, turkey, eggplant, turkey, green beans, turkey, pie.
(I think I will pass on the brussel sprouts.)

Corn, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing, turkey, gravy, salad, cheddar biscuits, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. I wanted to make brussel sprouts, but the oven was too full.

Tonight I consumed some white and dark meat, mixed veggies, mashed potatoes and some dinner rolls. I found my Mom's cranberries to have a bitter taste to them last year and I passed. and I don't really care for sweet potatoes. Then I hads me about two slices of pumpkin pie with whipped cream (I say "about" because after my first piece, I finished off the scraps that had been left over from the pan being otherwise cleared out. And we got TWO MORE pies left).

I had honeyed carrots, steamed snow pears and steak with a honey mustard sauce. But then again, I live at the wrong end of the world for the to count as a Thanks Giving meal.

Some turkey. (I suck at this vegetarian thing, apparently.) Veggie beans, rolls, mashed sweet potatoes, and three slices of pumpkin pie.

Since the white stuff has been a-fallin' lately, ever make a weird snowman or snow sculpture? If so, what was it?
It's sort of been a tradition for my brother and brother-in-law (with occassional help from myself) to make aquatic-themed snow sculptures. It started with a shark some years ago (that I had no hand in making), then I believe a whale came next (not really sure), and a couple years back we made a giant snow-squid dubbed Tentaclese. Not sure what, if any, we may do this year.
So, who else?

Not me sir. I mean I have only ever once seen snow. And then there would not have been enough snow to fill a cup.
Chill with the current boggle.

Wow, it's been a while… I guess we only made snowmen, but when the snow would get deep enough, we'd make igloos. One year after a blizzard, we made a tunnel network in the snowdrifts. I guess you're not supposed to do that anymore, but it was only 6 inches under and our parents knew where we were…

When I was in high school, I went the night before school to right outside my art class, and made a bunch of snowmen, in the middle of a murdering massacre. (Think Calvin and Hobbes)
What was funny was the next day, they all knew I did it.
I dunno why.

I'm pretty sure I never made anything more interesting than your standard snowman. Though often I would pack too much snow… getting right down to the grass below.
More like a snow-swamp-man.
Keep it rolling!

The most I was able to manage was a wall.(Curse you, Apathy!)
Who here can list at least one extremely obscure fact pertaining to the Mythos?
(Example: The Black Stone from Vermont is actually called the Black Seal of Iraan and bears the Seven Lost Signs of Terror. Likewise, the Muvian wizard Zanthu used it in his bid for power in the Temple of Ythogtha)

I just finished The Music of Eric Zhan a few weeks ago- it struck me how much some of the insane little apartments downtown with the fire escapes jutting off everywhere and random balconies reminded me of the street descriptions in the story. Not what you're looking for, but fun to share.

I learned a while ago that Conan the Barbarian is in the same universe as the Cthulhu mythos, by Crom.

Huh… Had no idea H.P.Lovecraft and Robert E. Howard had any association.
Aside from Lovecraft and this comic, who's your prefered writer of material in the Lovecraft storyverse?

I've been reading Larry Latham's comic- it's quite good: http://lovecraftismissing.com/

To kick in my own answer before someone changes the question, I've been reading some CJ Henderson material in the Lovecraft-verse, and found it a lot saner of take it than Lovecraft himself.
Keep it coming…

Ramsey Campbell is pretty good, although honestly I've only read two of his Mythos stories(and one done in a Lovecraftian style I recommend,The Voice Of The Beach), Larry Latham's comic is absolutly awesome, and three authors I found via Tales Of The Cthulhu Mythos are Robert Bloch(of Psycho fame), Fritz Leiber, and Colin Wilson.
(By the way, D-Rey, the Kull stories are also a part of the Mythos. And to DanielArin, Robert E. Howard and Lovecraft were correspondents, just like Lovecraft and Bloch. He seemed to naturally surround himself with the great writers of fantasy, sci-fi, and horror of his time.)
