Last cassette: ummm. . . probably the Deanna Carter album entitled "Did I Shave My Legs for This?" or possibly the old recording of a "George and Gracie" radio show. Loved that tape. . . wonder where it is. . . ?
First CD: It was a country CD that I won from a radio station. . . I think it was Aaron Tippin?
First on MP3 Player: My collection of Garth Brooks songs – I have most of them on my computer, and they were the first to go on the player.
Great questions! Continue!

That you people can remember these things worries me slightly.
I know I haven't added a cassette in 5 years, and the last ones added were most likely some home made thing I got with a case I'm storing them in. Last one I bought for the cassette is either one of my Weird Al tapes (I have every one before Running with Scissors on cassette) or the 2 tape Monty Python The Final Rip Off.
I honestly don't recall the first CD at this point, but I do recall having all of them stolen in April 03. The first of 3 complete or near complete losses.
First song on the MP3 player was probably my old Ghostbusters wav file "Ray. If someone asks you if your a god you say YES!!" Still keep that in there, along with the Shadow's Laugh, someone saying "His IQ is right off the charts" and Cheech Martins soliloque from Dusk til Dawn, advertising the goods for sale in the brothel. It's amazingly humorous to hear the music stop for 10-15 seconds for some random film quote, only to jump right back in. Kinda like living in my head.
Same to the next guy.

Considering the last cassette I had was bought for me when I was fourteen, it's hard to remember. And the fact that I got my first CD before that? Even worse.
Besides, I have more important things to remember and I haven't slept in seven months. It's terrible for the memory.

I would say that no good ever came from not sleeping, but I know people who would disagree with that, and the reasons they would cite for doing so.
Last vinyl record purchased, a used copy of either Billy Joel's 52nd Street or Streetlife Serenade, both purchased at garage sales, and both of which I'd been unable to find new on tape (Amazon was either not open for business yet, or was still only selling books). Last casette, probably a single of either Meryl Bainbridge's "Mouth" or Celine Dion's "It's All Coming Back To Me Now", since I was getting albums on CD by then, and singles on tape still. Last album on cassette may very well have been the Lion King soundtrack. First CD, Elton John's Sleeping with the Past, purchased in 1994 along with my first PC that was actually mine instead of my dad's. First track on an MP3 player… no idea whatsoever. I'd recently exercised the CD extraction feature of a program which came with a new PC, and I filled up a 128MB SD chip with about 10% of it.
Same question, plus on what occasion did you get that first CD and that MP3 player?

Yeah, well, having a baby who hates sleep leads to little sleep for Mommy. At least I have a good reason.

Ok, time for a new one, kiddies… I call this tawdry tale Completely Shameless, heheheheheh (I'll stop channeling the Crypt Keeper now)
Let's talk guilty pleasures! Which of this potentially embarassing triumvarate of Tv Show, Movie or Song will you confess to liking without fear of losing any street cred you may have had beforehand!
For me it's the following…
I'm addicted to the late night reruns of October Road… and one episode made me cry. And I enjoy watching The Lady in the Water, despite it being the biggest bag of self-undulgent toss ever vomited out by M Night Shamalamadingdong… I can't help it – it has monkeys made of twigs and a wolf made of turf! I wish I'd thought of them, truly.
And worst of all… I've been known to dance around the house with the hoover to… Play by J-Lo.
I submit myself for electroshock therapy now. Who else has the guts to do the same?

I wouldn't go so far to call it a guilty pleasure. I mean, lots of people think The Princess Bride is a good movie, right? It's got Cary Elwes, Peter Falk, Andre the Giant, Billy Crystal, and Mandy Patinkin in it, and the story is actually interesting. At least as far as I'm concerned. Anybody who may say otherwise, well that's their opinion.
As far as TV goes, I like so many cartoons it's not funny. Not more adult geared shows like Ugly Americans on Comedy Central, though I do like Futurama and Family Guy. I like shows like Totally Spies!, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds, the more recent Ben 10 shows Alien Force and Ultimate Alien, Generator Rex, 6Teen, and Total Drama Island/Action.
And as far as song goes, it's not so much the songs themselves being of genres I despise and liking them all the same, but the effect they have on me. Melodies of Life from Final Fantasy IX and I Am the Wind from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, end credit songs both, always make me shed tears. I could provide links if anybody would like to hear them.
Now for my question. No shame, no ridicule, simply put: Have you ever been to another country? I haven't.

The Bahamas, and Canada; I have future plans to crash on various friends' couches in South Africa, Bolivia, England, Norway, Ethiopia, and Australia, should I ever get the money for airfare.
Good question- keep it going!

Tink, you are awesome!
Honestly, I have never been to another country. And really I don't feel the need to. On the same token I don't even want to see Australia . . . I kinda dislike travelling.
Continue the trend!

The only other country I've been to is Canada. When I lived on the east coast, I made it to Niagra Falls once with my family. Now that I live in WA, I've been up to B.C. for the DaVinci display a few years ago.
Good Q! Keep it going.

Brief travels through Canada, some time down under in Australia (really liked it there) and I was SUPPOSED to go to Ireland this summer, but I had to go and graduate.

Heh, I'm not much of a traveler, but I was raised by travel bugs and I date one now. In my youth, I visited Singapore (amazing country), Mexico (enough said), England (love, love, love it), Scotland (strange place; beautiful castle ruins), and Ireland (kissed the Blarney stone).
Now, I've added the Caribbean islands (too many to name), Italy (Rome is amazing), Greece (just… wow…), Egypt (amazing place – but fear the beggars), Turkey (they try too hard to be like the US), and Cyprus (odd place, but definitely unique).
Now that I've just typed that all in, I sound like a world traveler, but yeesh… I sure don't feel like I've seen the world. Most of the latter were just cruises, but we stayed in Rome to explore it for a few days… truly, an amazing place.

You and me both.
To answer the previous "guilty" questions: TV: Chowder. Better written than a lot of the adult stuff out there Movie: SpongeBob Squarepants Song: I don't know the name, but the lyric "I need a hero (ooo-OOOOO!)" should be enough.
On to the current question: No, I've never left the US. Mostly it's because of oppurtunity not being there, but a bigger part is that I don't have the desire. Heck, I barely have the desire to visit other states in the union.
Contin-I say, Continue, boy!

You don't mean "I need a hero" by Bonnie Tyler?

Would that be "Holding Out for a Hero" – yes, by Bonnie Tyler – originally from the Flashdance soundtrack but which was also used in Who's Harry Crumb and Short Circuit 2?
