Should be interesting to see where this is leading.
The lighting for Chrissy in todays update really makes her look pretty. Well done Drey.
EDIT: Please note that part of me hopes to see her start turning fishy soon . . .

While I admit Merry was attractive for a fish, I prefer Chrissy as a human now that she's showing a heart.
And methinks someone's gonna get their face stamped before this is over and done with.

I still want Jackson to be with Charon. Meh!
Yeah, I know, it's more interesting this way…still, I'm really trying to figure out exactly what made the Snows marriage do a 180 like this!

Well, the best answer I can come up with is that Christmas grew up and Jackson does actually love her.
That shot of Chrissy in the last panel made the original Mission: Impossible theme run through my head.

If Lobstergirl gets in the tub and turns into, well, Lobstergirl, I think I might rupture something from the giggles I'll get – Chrissy doing that scene from Splash, only with more legs… Though something tells me she's not really going to go anywhere near water…
Don't be such a meanie, Morry! Chrissy knows what makes her happy – I think Charon has to figure that one out for herself before she can go shackin' up with anyone… if the local weirdness will give her a chance at least.
Christ, I did a 180 on my favorite girl, didn't I?

LOL, if she starts turning fishy, that'd be awesome!
If that's the case, she grew up, he does love her, that's fine, but I want to actually see how that happened. I mean, at the end of the last season, before Charon and Jackson had their talk that we couldn't "hear", she was about to leave him because their marriage and life together was a sham and he was clearly in love with Charon and always had been. That's a big turnaround to just accept without knowing why and how it came about.
So yeah, basically, I'm just hoping we do eventually find out the how & why.

I suspect the removal of a soul sucking being of pure evil, and the old one who rode her, from the household did a lot to calm things down in the short term. Also, dramatic relationships tend to have highs and lows, and while book 1 was obviously a low, we appear to be at a high at the moment. I expect that to change in 10 pages or so…

Aww… Chrissy's not grubby anymore. Okay, so she hasn't been since the page they brought the old lady's car back to her and were waiting for her to come outside and find it fixed up, but still… Ah, who'm I trying to kid? She's always hot…
… And yes. I do know I haven't commented on any pages in a long time. I've been busy.

You know, while at work, I've formulated a theory about Gage's connection to Charon. And if I'm right, I hope he meets a very bad end before this chapter is through.
Chrissy is obviously too anxious to recognize attorney-client-confidentiality.

She's trying to find out why Gage is in town. Whatever he's workingin Jackson on, it's likely the paperwork about it is in Jackson's Briefcase.
Real question is, who's ringing them up at midnight?

I got the impression that she, too, has some kind of history involving Gage…

Blasted phones, always ringin' when you least expect them to. And it's usually when you're in the middle of something important, too.

I'm wondering if it's daddy on the phone…
Actually, that's something I'm hoping we'll see; did Chrissy block out all those revelations about her parentage when little Misty was explaining things to her? I mean, she's seen all manner of oddness, so she understands there's more to the world than she knew before, but did she just whitewash over the unusual union that created her? Is she still going to be all loving daughter with daddy and not-mommy, or are there going to be cracks showing?

I think they were in the same clique. They're familiar enough with each other on a "gee, those were the days" sort of thing. Maybe they dated, but I think it was more acquaintence.

Well, Charon went through the same stuff, and she's barely acknowledged it herself. 'Course, SHE helped save the universe and IS NOT half fish.
Could be Christmas is just kind of…getting used to what's happened. Given what she went through, it'd take a kind of denial as yet undocumented for her to function normally. Heck, maybe it's knowing about her atypical geneology that has helped send her on the path of non-bitchiness.
As for "not-mommy"…did we even get a hint that Christmas even KNEW of a human mother? Philiboyd could've told her that her Mom left when she was too young to recall. What he'd tell the public at large, or rather how he'd convince them…that'd be another kind of effort.

I had always assumed Phil had told everyone that Chrissy's mother died – maybe in childbirth? Or maybe that he adopted her?
