Obviously SC has never hit her thumb with a hammer.

And why do I have the sudden image of the mystic version of a defibulator going off…

More or less my thoughts too – though I was thinking more of Robocop's interface spike :)

At first glance it looks like she does intend to kill Misty. However, that is sooooo not in Becka's personality.  It's be nice if that spike is some kind of wake-up, but I suspect it'll be something more… interesting.  As for why Becka would be waking Misty up now

Perhaps the spider is somehow the bigger threat, if the Mother Hydra personality can be suppressed but the powers retained…

Look at the eyes in the spike Panel. Blue on Blue is the tool, not the Girl.

Also, in counter point to the Tool, I'd like to point out:  Pat, Rusty, Phillipe, Flicker, Stretch, Dusty, Squeeze, and Turner. Who, I'm ashamed to admit, I named only half of from memory.

It's time for another good idea, bad idea:

Bad Idea – Joining the EOD to do so.

Personally, I'm suspecting that the Spider-God-Thingamajig is building something on prime Misty real estate since Mother Hydra got evicted.  Now Becka has to come in and make sure it's all up to code.

And I'll form the head!

Hm. It would make sense that the crone may still see Mistletoe as a threat, and this would be a perfect oppurtunity to get sufficiently quash that threat. But she has to know Becka wouldn't let her go through with it.

That, however, would indicate the energy spike is malicious in intent. It could be like a psychic knife (the one interesting thing about Psylocke of the X-Men…aside from being a Brit in a Japanese body), for some kind of "meeting of the minds".

The one thing I always hated about Psylocke is the one catch phrase she also said or thought whenever she used that damn psychic knife, she'd remind the readers (sometimes twince an issue) that is was "the focus totality of my psionic powers" EVERY FREAKIN' TIME! I can't even blame Claremont for that, because everyone else did it too!

The "focus totality of my post" was that the Tool was keeping Becca in Dreamland and Distracted long enough to take out the host of Mother Hydra, because it's her job to take out the footholds that the Old Ones make in our realm, and she already knows that the McKay's are to "weak" to sacrifice the child.

The only thing I can sort of grasp is that Misty is in a sleep she can't wake up from. So she is stuck in a nightmare which the spider creature is feeding off. Which is why it is slowly gaining a bigger foothold in the town.

Is it possible everyone else was doing it because Claremont did it first?  I've read his Shadow Moon trilogy (follow-upon the movie Willow), and in the third book he does something similar. There's a bit character who shows up in places with no major characters, does something that doesn't affect the main story line, and disappears "off-camera", about five times over the course of the book, receiving a (slightly different) full introductory description each and every time, as if we've never even heard of, let alone seen, the guy.

So, yeah, go ahead and blame it on Claremont.  It's apparently his M.O.

Isn't that what just about every superhero does (Or did, things may be different since I stopped reading them)?  I swear the two things you could count on was the evil villain explaining their plan in detail or the hero explaining his powers and usually exactly how they work.  Seriously, why in god's name would you inform everyone about how or what you're doing so they could you know counter it.  It's like anime and screaming out the name of your attack BEFORE you make the attack.

Also.  I was correct it seems.  Momma Spidey seems to be building a highway instead of a home with a Misty off-ramp.  I'm sorry I couldn't help myself.

"Thanks, Don. Don, there's some heavy construction on the Dreamscape today. Many commuters hope this will fix the detour issues they've been having since the that unfortunate "webbing incident" a few months back. By all accounts, the new Mistletoe off-ramp looks to be shaping up nicely. When asked if they had any moral objections to using a comatose teenage girl in this manner, one motorist was quoted as saying, "Who the Hell cares, as long as it cuts my commute from work. Back you, Don."

*Reads everyone else's posts* And here, the only thing I have to say is that the Shadow Child does not look like a 'Madison' to me. Looks more like a 'Jessica' or a 'Sasha'. But we've been down the 'naming' road before, and that recently. We won't go there again. Canon name is canon, but I'm just saying.

"It's called the Hudson."

"Then I shall be 'the Hudson' as well."

We've had hints thrown in there about Madison's name all season long. And even a brief mention or two last season. (Not to mention a couple time I totally let it slip.)

1.It's PEOPLE! the bridge is made of PEOPLE!

Where do you come up with this stuff? If that was in the Mythos, you'd think it'd be one of the more copied elements.

2. I'm not sure if Node-sorry, Madison is genuinely starting to care for the McKays, or their emotions are bleeding over. Either way; d'aww.
