Remember when people thought that if matter came into physical contact with anti-matter, there'd be a huge cataclysmic explosion?
…
Yeah, I think that's what would happen if Moira ever stepped foot into a Wal*Mart.
We don't think that anymore?! Wow I need to catch up on my science

I think it was recently disproven. How, I don't know, but that's what I heard.

I actually find it easier enough to believe that it would be possible to get Chrissy into a Wal*Mart, provided she was in Charon's company. And, to be truthful, there are just some things you won't find anywhere else without having to special/custom order or do a deep search online; they carry a few things that other stores in the same category, such as Target and Kmart, do not. I think I've been there twice in the last year myself, once as a last resort and once as a matter of urgency.

Personally, I love capitalism. I support Wal-Mart. (I'm a redneck. It's in my genes.)

Unfortunately for a number of the manufacturers, Wal-Mart is the 900 lb gorilla of retail. My understanding is that a number of manufacturers have been pushed into making lower-grade or lower-quality items than they otherwise would have when Wal-Mart placed an order, waited until the manufacturer tooled up to handle the volume, and then threatened to cancel the order if the manufacturer didn't cut the price by a large factor enough to let the retail price at Wal-Mart undercut the cost to other retailers of any previously-existing model.
The particular example I was cited involved lawnmowers.

Oh, by no means is it a perfect. Far from it. But I also remember simple little things, like during Hurricane Katrina when they were the first rescuers on the job… And FEMA took six days to get there. Or in the recent flooding in my old state of Tennessee, they were also the first rescuers on the scene… And FEMA took a few days to get there as well. Sure, it was mainly a public relations issue, but in the end, they didn't have to do that. Target and Kmart didn't. But Wal-Mart did. Why?
Because those are their customers and it doesn't do good to have dead customers.
It's cold. It's calculating. But it's honest. And I can respect that.
Not to mention, it's the only place to buy certain Transformers and DC Universe figures.

Changing the order after it's placed isn't exactly honest…

I think you might have missed my point in what I was calling "honest"… But, no biggie.

Oh, good grief… Did she fall asleep in the dressing room? Accursed spiders…
This is starting to get a little Nightmare on Elm Street-ish.

It's actually reminding me of an episode of the X-files where, if I remember correctly, people were imagining roaches crawling under their skin.

1. Some of those spiders (specifically in the web) look pretty photo-realistic. Maybe it's the that they're kind of "covered" in the webbing.
2. I understand the certain…necessities people have to go to Wal*Mart. Be it low prices or rare items, I get that. I've gotten things there myself. There are just some aspects of the company I don't care for. That and I think it's ridiculous my Mom will decided to drive 30 minutes to the nearest one around here rather than the 8 grocery stores that are much closer along the same route (well, 7 along the route, even though 1 of that number is only technically closer, as it rests RIGHT IN FRONT of the aforementioned Wal*Mart). But that's another story…
3. That dress has a zipper?!

Apparently the "skirt" portion does. You'll note that Becka's arm is directed such that her hand is about at her waist. That material is not likely to be stretchy; she'd have to split the waist to get it on and off. Given the nature of the dress, the zipper may go all the way to the hem.

Well, there's a thought, Jacobus. If the freaky Spider-Demon said it gave out PRESENTS in peoples' sleep, then Becka might not be so frightened.

I smell a little of fanservice…
Well, gotta say Becka doesn't need a change of clothes, but I agree with the opinion she could use another kind of dress, with more front, back and skirt. That one she's trying to take off should fit Miley Cyrus' need of growin up a little faster… =P

Depends on the present. New iPod, fine. Lump of coal, maybe. My dog's "presents" or a horse's head… no…

Hmm, interesting. Looks like someone might still be playing for the other team. That, or he's just opportunistic and knows a potential bargaining chip when he sees one.

I get the impression he really doesn't know anything about this. He was a stooge before, not a member. Now he's on the other side, nominally a member, and he's seeing stuff he's never seen before, feels he's in over his head, and is probably scared s#17less.
Plus he's apparently also still pissed, or at least frustrated, about how his change of sides came about. He had a sweet deal before; cover their tracks and keep the folks not in their control out of their way, and they took care of him, and he never had to see firsthand the truly ugly aspects that he's seeing now.
Bottom line, I think at this point, he just wants out of this whole freaking mess. But because he was caught with his hand in the cookie jar and it's being held over him, he no longer has an exit.
