I'm guessing Spider is his name'o.
Nope. Grandpa believed in reincarnation, and always wanted to come back as a spider. I don't know if he managed, but it's a comforting thought that he's still around somewhere.
And yeah, I kinda threw that in there to see if anyone would notice.

Heh I figured that was his spirit guide since I used to know a Dancer at pow-wows named Spider.

I stopped freaking out about spiders after working at a Girl Scout Camp in Williamsburg, VA. As a counselor, we showed up a few days before the kids to clean up the camp. On one of the woodpiles was a Black Widow nest. We knocked it into a bucket and lit a fire. A few weeks later, we found out we missed one, as it was perched at the apex of the inside of the tent.
Did I mention this was in the campsite where the Brownies stay?
I got volunteered to get rid of the spider. Sometime later that summer we found the broom that I had used to remove it.
Now if I find a spider inside the house, I usually just try to deposit it outside.

Preferably TO the party and not any animals on their property of course.

And now we see why Chrissy and Charon are having lunch. I actually feel…bad for Chrissy. She may have been/be a cast iron B*&%H with platinum panties but no one deserves to go through that.
Even though Missy needed it.

Yeah, I definitely feel some sympathy for Chrissy; I'm sorry that she had to go through all that, but I'm glad it seems to have made her a better person.
Kudos to the Dave's for such an excellent story; I've reread through the entire archive like 2 or 3 times now and I always seem to pick up on a little detail that I missed before; keep up the excellent work!:D
(p.s.: the reboot was sooo worth the wait!)

The whole Chrissy and Charon dynamic was a nice surprise to us as well. But after what happened at the end of last season it just seemed to fit exactly right.
And welcome and thank you Telenos! We think the reboot was worth it too!

No. I did not take any action in reprisal or my cat. I admit that at the time I'd have liked to… but I rather like not having a criminal record. I'm not sure that I'd be able to actually *do* anything and get away with it without any repercussions. That was some years ago, anyhow, and as I no longer live in that community, I'd much rather leave it in the past.
As for the comic, well, I'd reckon we'll be seeing a lot more of Misty and Charon. Or at least I hope to as they have a great dynamic.

A case where the charecters write themselves? Always a good thing, theres no telling how they will develop.

We mentioned before (and we can go into more details Sunday) that we have a general idea of the flow of the story, but in the end, the story takes it's own direction, organically. There's ups and downs to this, but in the end… It works out nicely, I think.

Yeah it's how most of my friends play our charecters in RP's. Sometimes they turn out alot differently then we'd thought they would. It's kinda like watching your kid grow up in a way I guess.

*reads the current update*
… ouch. That's the high class 'friends' for you. All shallow.
Charon reads it all wonderfully well, the blush on Chrissy's face would seem to confirm it. Heeheehee. Yikes.
It's good for Chrissy that she's seeing Charon more I'd think, from that. Since they were both involved, it eliminates the reaction pretty much.

That and since they are on opposite, (as opposed to opposing) sides of…well…everything, they can maybe learn from each other. Although I think Chrissy is gonna learn alot more about Real Life from Charon then Charon will learn about catilions from Chrissy.
I know I might sound..grudgy. But there is still alot of BAD history between the two of them and it will take awhile to sort through it.

New guy here and trying not to fade into the background. I agree that they can learn from each other, but I don't think Chrissy has any less to teach Charon than Charon has to teach Chrissy. They've both lived in the real world, just different aspects. Chrissy may not seem to have had it as rough, but that gives her a different perspective. She knows alot about..Upper(mid?) class life, which I don't think Charon would learn about otherwise but can still be very useful to know. Plus I think that.. Charon has had everything /but/ a real normal life from what I've read.

I'm likeing this new relationship to be honest, it's just wierd seeing them change from Chrissy having "Bitch" stamped on her face to this.

Well, I wake up this morning and our beloved postal service wanted me to part with 30 notes to have something delivered to my house (£10 to Customs and £20 to the <insert chain of foul expletives here, more or less revolving around how our postal service is fond of sexual intercourse with chimpanzees> Post Office for sending me a letter to tell me I owe Customs a tenner)… my mood was going to be set in stone for the day. 'Lousy' would have been an understatement.
Then I read today's update…
And all is good with the world.
They should have their own series together – Trailer-Park Jezebel & Lobstergirl. It would give me warm fuzzy feelings all day long

And befriending Charon! What would her Inconsequential Scenery Bitches think? Y'know, if they hadn't been mutilated and reduced to man-fishy food.
