Swish. I picked it.
Love their expressions.
Is that a "not that way inclined" or a "not that way into my pants?"

Jac, I think's a simultaneous "I'm not doing it that way", and "we're not hooking up under these circumstances"… and agreed, he's got integrity in spades. Exccceeelllllent.

Part of me wants to chide Charon for believing her own hype now, but considering my weakness for girls with glasses…

Nice. Such a fresh change from the "alrighty then" attitude it seems most guys have about an offer like that from Charon.

Charon's expression is just priceless. And I'll bet you anything that because he /didn't/ fall right into her bed (or the couch, floor, kitchen counter…), she's going to find herself attracted to him more seriously now. He's more than just a good-looking guy now… he's a /challenge/. I mean, the unattainable is /always/ more desirable, isn't it? That's why playing hard-to-get sometimes works. ;P

It probably isn't, but the more I think on it, the more it seems like genuine shock that a guy doesn't want to take advantage of the town bike's reputation. He might end up on the hitlist now… lucky son of a gun
If Sawyer does turn out to be gay (I'm not convinced yet meself)… can I put five bucks on Maurice being his bf? That'd just be too cute for words

Still, I think I'd lose more respect for him if he did cave, cause isn't he married or at least engaged? I think I remember something like that.
Looking back on chapters 2 and 3, I didn't see any indication that Sawyer is engaged or married. Only ring I saw was a little loop in his right ear lobe that he had up until "The Calvalry" onward. If Eregnon wasn't just being coincidentally sarcastic, perhaps THIS is where he gleaned his theory.
Then I guess I don't really remember much of anything but the earring, if you want to go so far as to call it that. I guess I really do have to go and re-read the entire series to date again. Not that that is a bad thing.
I want to welcome Charon to the (Not So) Wonderful World of Failure, but for one thing, I can't tell if Pat really is shooting her down completely or just saying no to this particular advance. And for another, Charon just wins too much to let this one thing bring her down like that.
Also, I don't think Pat's gay. Just in posession of much integrity.

Well, neither do I. But, recalling someone else's joke about it, I saw his head ONE earring, and because I never pay attention to that stuff, I didn't know which lobe is the designated side for being gay, according to whomever decides these things (or thinks they do or whatever).

That's probably also why people "fall in love" or become heavily infatuated with celebrities. I've gone throught that with Layla Kayleigh. And Jeri Ryan. And Tia Carrere. And Nikki Cox.
…I'll stop now.
