Yeah, if fact, if she wasn't antagonizing Charon, Charon would get suspicious, and put her guard up. Since we're fairly sure that Moria is at least in part responsable for the blood curse, she's got this as part of her plan, if not her end game. Maybe she just wanted blood samples from both Becca and Charon, maybe she want's an excuse to mingle her blood with Becca's who knows.

Also Tink, I think we're a bit close to call the pin a "should have known." We're dealing with a city of at least 50K people, possibly more. We've been interacting with 20. That's less than .05%. and even among those 20, not all would recognize it. But those that do recognize it, most know what it means, and give the respect due.  It's like a man wearing a Mason ring, or the way I wear an Eagle Scout Tie tack when I go on interviews or to important social functions. You need to know the meaning of the symbol, and be looking for the symbol, for it to matter.

An interesting theory, Bounty. It could be that Moira could hold a greater…um…hold…over Becca if Granny's blood got into the grandchild.

I don't think we have any indication that during the Lighthouse battle the Master had knew who the Shadowchild was. The only one who knew that the shadowchild was named Becca McKay was Big Purple, and he's dead.
