Fides getting frisky?  Who'd'a thunk it?  I hope this means she wasn't at HQ when the insanity broke out.

Wow, it feels like I was in 7th grade when Woolworth's went out of business…  (Looking it up, I was actually a senior in college.  Thinking about it now, I think we got stuff for my first dorm room there, but they closed just in time to not do that for my brother.)  I remember the lunch counter, but never ate there.

The big thing was that, between the one in the mall and the one in the local "downtown" district, my parents usually got about 2/3 of my school supplies there, and a small percentage of other stuff.  (The rest were from a mix of the local stationery store, which has also since closed, maybe one or two places I can't remember, and a Pearl Paint that was about 45 minutes away.  Staples had not opened in our area yet.)  I vaguely also remember them selling clothing and other household items.  I probably got a couple of cheap watches, the occasional candy bar, one or two cheap "110″ (10mm film) cameras, and some of my batteries and film there over the years.

I hope she's had all her shots if she's doing anything with that guy…

Wonder who the occupants of the mysterious truck are.

I didn't even notice the truck before…that explains the expression on his face. I thought he was being "cute" or something.

Same here, though I was thinking less cute, and more about to pass out from intense psychic pain, possibly while receiving a message from beyond.

OMG the fishy ones are come to beat me down would make that face too.

On a side note, I've actually never heard of Woolworth's. Apparently that particularly massive worldwide phenomenom never caught on in California.

It's time for another good idea, bad idea:
Good Idea – Getting your Insider character into the comic
Bad Idea – Joining the EOD to do so.

Gratz to Jacobus for the New Avatar!

Somebody wants to beat the %#$ outta our good old boy!  NO WAY!

Also 50/50 that's EoD or Insiders.  Fides is a sneaky one she well could be setting him up.

And I'll form the head!

I wonder, what's with that face in the last panel? The general consensus seems that it pertains to the occupants of the on-coming vehicle, but the question is, who is it? EoD? Insiders? Charon?

And I hope Fides has a liberal idea of 'mega awesome'… most people that say they are, aren't. :D

By they're brief discussion of age, I'd say fides is…what, 25 years old? Younger than I would've pegged.

Mid twentys is about right. She would have been the Power Rangers Generation, as opposed to the Pokemon/Yu-Gi-Oh! Generation Becka was.

Or the Voltron generation, like I'm guessing Charon would have been.

Well, ignoring the whole constant shifting of time going forward as we age, but the characters do not, at current time, Charon would have only been four when Voltron was on. (When the book started back in 2005, then yeah. But the characters don't age in real time.) So Charon would have been more of a TMNT fan.

But definitely Rainbow Brite.

Is it winding the clock back an edge too far to wonder if Charon was truly outrageous? Or am I showing my age (and potentially terrifying sexual abiguity) there ;)

Looking at the hair, is that ol' Phil hopping out of the Truck o' Menace?

For some reason I think she was more then meets the eye rather then truly outrageous myself.

And as for Gage: Buh-Bye.

Oh, I don't know… Charon with a gigantic hot-pink hair-mountain going on and way too much makeup…

Ok, scrub that. Bad idea. I'm now seeing Dee Snider in glasses. Never. Sleep. Again.

ROFL! Oh man, I almost spewed coffee when I read that. Thanks a lot! :P And if it makes ya feel better, I still had episodes of that show on VHS up until about 2005, when Hurricane Katrina hit, hehe.

Oh, and just to preserve my masculinity, it should also be noted the same tape had episodes of Plastic Man, plus a couple of Marmaduke. Voltron was on a separate tape…along with Transformers. And The Last Unicorn.  It's amazing that one didn't melt from all the awesome packed onto it.

Back on point: I'm starting to get mixed feelings about Gage. I'm starting to get the feeling that, sexual deviant though he may be, there may be more decency to him than is readily apparent (one might think Charon was just a "loose woman", at first glance, after all).

NO! No no no no! Gage has already been defined as a unyielding jerk-ass with a Casanova complex with absolutley ZERO redeeming qualities! I do not accept that he is risking his neck to protect a woman he just wanted to nail. He is INCAPABLE of doing "the right thing"!

In fact, there was no page today. It didn't happen!

Crap, I've turned into Joe Quesada. Well, time to throw myself off a cliff…
