Where in the depths of Tartarus did you people drag that black monstrosity from?

I've got you on the grid, and there's no way I can hide you, you're leaving video evidence all over the place. That being said, that beast seems to be broadcasting an old EMT code, so I'm patching you into the city grid for the moment, and putting you on call.  This trick won't work more than once, but for today at least you've got nothing but green lights to the edge of town.

I'm trying to find a frequency that will jam thier communication gear without leaving us deaf-mutes as well, but they've got the better tech, so I may not be able to.  You need anything else from the gods, just call on Delphi.

So spake Apollo, so saith the Oracle.

Well, I didn't think to bring some heavy firepower tonight, so I left my rocket launcher at home.  I'd rather not dick around with anything unfamiliar either… I think you'd better let me out here Bell, I'll keep an eye out from up top an see what's up.

Sure about that?  If things get hairy, I might not be able to come back and get you.  And I know how much you LOVE cat food…

Fors chuckles, the wind causing his long hair to stream out behind him as he sits on a collapsible chair at the rear of the truck.  Delphi, even municipalities need to get rid of their old equipment eventually… and then it simply becomes a matter of knowing the skeletal contents of key figures' closets.  Okay, we're nearly at your location Tink and Maz, there's been no purs… scratch that, they're learning… two bikes are trailing us down parallell streets on either side of us.  Only spotted one by chance, and then of course I knew what to look for.  Hera, my fore view is partially blocked by the mass of the truck, do you see anything unusual ahead?  Ditto for everyone else, anything unusual?

Adamas hits the brakes, causing a bike to swerve to the side. One bike with passenger right behind me, he's trying his damnest to stay in my blind spot but had to weave past a pothole. Seems they are going for agility rather then force. But I'm having to be careful. Dinah's strapped in inside the trailer. He looks at a gauge on the dash and curses loudly about people who have relations with buffalo. And somethings drained the capacitors for it so I can't electrify it again.

Hmm… yeah, I see them- in the black?  Right.  Well, I can get the one on your tail right now if you need me to.

Hey, Maz?  Hang out a second, I'm going to need you to help me with this.  Adamas?  I'm going to need you to let them get a little comfortable in your blind spot- just keep them there, and when I give the word, floor it.  You won't need to go too far like that, but it's probably a good idea that you come up with something to get rid of the other ones quickly.

Here, Maz- just point it in the general direction of the bike, and pull the trigger- don't worry, it's magnetic, it'll stick to the biggest metal object in the sight.  I'm pretty sure it'll work.

Magnetic? Well at least titanium isn't affected by it. As much as I hate letting people get a clear shot at me. I'll trust ya. Waiting on your mark.

Okay… we're in range… slow down… now.

Little more…

…little more…

*POCK*

Stomp on it!

The cycle's engine revs and suddenly goes silent.  If Adamas looks back, he might see sparks and smoke, and a fairly confused driver.  Tink is now turning down a side street.

Okay, that's him gone.  We'll try to get behind the one to your north.  Fors, Delphi, how are we doing?

Thank the gods you finally got all the bugs worked out of this voice recognition software, Fors.  Otherwise this would be impossible!  Any way, I don't have much visibility unless it's in a straight line in front of me, though I do seems to be getting glimpses of something running parallel to us.  Hard to make out, though it seems to be something wicked fast.  I've got all I can do to keep this hulk on the road, though.  These machines weren't built for maneuverability, after all.  Better hang on tight, love.  Could get a bit bumpy as we're heading over some of the older streets for the nonce.  Any one else have a better view??

Nice work, Tink!  Now if we can just get the hell out of here without them following us home…  Ideas folks?  I'm good for barricade running, but losing a tail is a bit more complicated for me.  I'll try anything once, however.  What's next?

There is none so blind, as will not see.

Best I've got is a couple flash-bangers. I loaded my shotgun to stop cars, I use it on bikes at these speeds and we start getting a bodycount. But I'm close enough to deal with anyone who comes behind you, Mainly because they'd put themselves.. Adamas ducks instinctively as his driver's side mirror explodes, the glass hitting his window. Fuck! Looks like they are throwing the kid gloves away folks, anyone see the shooter?

Glad it came to good use so soon, love, I'd hate to think all those late nights and cold dinners were for naught!  Fors laughs, then sobers instantly at adamas' news.

Flash bangs, you say?   I'd thought they'd stick with their usual plan and hit us hard, hence the nigh-useless browning, but you may just have the solution here, adamas.  Provided that they have no other backup, that is.  Just, noone look up at me for the next thirty seconds or so, and I'll join you in your cab if you'll unlock the passenger door.  I'll try and spot your shooter at the same time.

No prob, I don't wanna take your mate's liberties anyway, doors unlocked by the way. Adamas lifts his leg and kicks the dash, causing the glovebox to open and reveal a .50 handgun inside and a pair of grenades attached to the inside of the hatch Then he floors the gas to get closer to the firetruck. I just replaced that mirror too.

Anyone within the camper portion of adamas' vehicle hears a *thump* upon its roof, and shortly thereafter Fors joins that notable in his cab.  It appears that your pursuer's passenger managed to clamber aboard, though his amateurish attempts at shooting you through the roof of your cab were luckily hampered by the wind and the violence of our helter-skelter flight.  Regardless, he now slumbers the sleep of one thoroughly unconscious, and will likely roll off to a non-fatal but well-deservedly painful landing on a stretch of lawn at the next turn.  Fors coughs apologetically.  I realized the need, so I did a little scouting on my way here.

Speaking of which, heads up again, folks – the enemy's down to the two cycles flanking us, but I noted headlights at the town's exit, and must presume some form of non-police roadblock.  Hera's truck is massive enough to punch a hole in that without being disabled, but after that I suggest you pass her, adamas, and make yourself scarce.  Yours is currently the most vulnerable situation, having only yourself to rely upon, and if Tink, Hera, Maz and I draw the enemy's attention, then Gaia bless it, you ought to have a clear path to safety.  Please excuse me now, I'll need both of your grenades, but will only use them once we arrive at the roadblock.  I'll be in contact.

Fors holds one flash-bang in each hand then leaps from the cab when the predicted turn arrives, rolling to mitigate the fall.  Turning without pause to address the fallen prisoner, the convoy's speed causes him to rapidly diminish in rear-view mirrors.

Thanks for the assist Fors. As soon as we get out of town Dinah and I are vapor trails out of state. Adamas pulls the handgun from the glovebox and clicks off the safety. I get the feeling she's the main objective of this mess so now she's my main responsibility. And may the gods aid you, and help those who try to take her.

I think that Fors just voluntold us to get someones attention.  I'm good for that, but would have liked a bit more of a heads up, I coulda brought some smoke pots or something more useful than bad language and a crowbar.

BELL! Get alongside that other bike!

Glad to help where I can, adamas – my contributions are largely informational but I can occasionally toss in a one-off strategic elimination.  Tink and Maz, peel off if you guys like, we can get out of town without you folks and it might be better for your own anonymity to avoid the blockade.  I leave it in your own hands to decide that, though I can see the convoy is rapidly approaching where I am now at the roadblock.  Good cess to us all, this night, and best not look back once the barriers are passed; that's when I'll be using adamas' party favors.

Adamas sets the cruise control, rolls down the driver's side window, and leans out. The shotgun in his hands and steering with his feet as he pulls his shirt over his nose. Now lets give these guys a hot foot, shall we? He fires three shots, each looking like small fireballs as they fly past the firetruck and strike one of the cars' engine compartment, causing the engine to burst into flames seconds later as he drops back into the driver's compartment. That's one less persuer we'll leave behind us.
