Heh,good to see your smaling faces, just give me a second and hold your breath. Adamas hits the red button next to the door and kicks it open. Then he starts fireing small CS gas grenades from his shotgun to land about 20 feet from the otherside of the Lover's truck.  Doors open, come inside. Adamas grins manicly and waves toward the trucks. So much for opening my agency in this town, eh?

Hey Tink, we've scurried into adamas' place just now; I'm typing this in because Hera's already hard at work, but I'll be ducking out in just a moment to do some more scouting.  They're really after something, here; did you pack your bag of tricks?  Oh, and thanks for the map, Delphi, that definitely helped.

Adamas hands Fors a headset and puts one on himself. Persistant buggers aren't they? Not sure how tight it'll be in a travel trailer with 7 folks and 2 of them out cold but if ya want Tink I'll not be stopping ya. Adamas opens a hatch in the roof and climbs through hauling the shotgun and bandolier after him.

Easier this way Trickster.

Fors chuckles and climbs out as well, then nods appreciatively to adamas.  I'd been wondering if you had a hatch; now, let's see what can be seen… Fors rubs his eyes and mutters something under his breath, then opens them wide and stares at the surroundings intently as he quietly murmurs to adamas.  The attackers seem to have dispersed now that there's no easy prey and we have a decent advantage up here… but they never give up this easily.  Where are you hiding, now, I wonder?… Hrm… yes, over there… don't point or it'll know its cover is blown, but do you see it, lurking in the deep gloom under that pine?  Someone or something spying upon us, no doubt waiting to see when we leave so it can alert other forces in the area.  Do you think you can take it from this range?

Adamas nods as he spots the form and slots a clear shell with what looks like a rocket inside into the chamber of the shotgun. I see him, it's a bit long but I think so. Adamas snaps the shotgun to his shoulder and fires, causing a puff of smoke from the tree's trunk and a shape stumbling backwards clutching his face and yelling in pain. Damn, was hoping to knock him out. Oh well that's military grade CS in his face so he's gonna be hurting for awhile. Adamas loads another round and fires, this time a pair of rubber balls attached by a strand like a bola fly out and entangle the target's legs, causing him to flop on the ground like a giged fish. Thats better.

OOC : Yes, there is actual ammo for shotguns like this if you know where to order from. :)

Fors watches, letting out a low whistle in surprise.  Very nice shot… remind me not to try playing paintball with you.  Now let's see what it has to say for itself, shall we?  I'll go retrieve it while you keep an eye out.  Fors lithely leaps from the trailer's roof, tucks into a rolling landing, and rises smoothly before he sprints for the watcher.  Dragging it back is slow but necessary due to relative inequalities in body weight, but in short order Fors and adamas manage to drag their zip-tie restrained prisoner onto the roof.

Fors scowls down at the captive, an inbred looking male anglo with a vaguely fish-eyed countenance.  I do not approve of torture, that is your ilk's bailiwick, but you will tell us what we need to know or I shall let it be known that other, more damning secrets of the EOD which we hold in reserve were in fact released by you this day.  If you lie, or refuse to answer, I will know… and we both know what would then happen to you.  So, would anyone here have any questions for the miscreant?

Adamas wrinkles his nose and retrieves a pair of glasses from his coat pocket. I would've been better if I'd remembered my glasses. The Huntress gets the credit, not me. But this guy certainly smells familiar. Like the stench in the hospital when I got pulled out of the gulf. Rotten squid, yeech.

Dinah glanced up when she heard the thud on the roof. She was posting on the forums via one of the phones. She'd helped Dr. Hera where she could but now the woman had moved beyond anything that resembled the first aid class Dinah had taken. She stayed near in case the older woman needed an extra set of hands for anything.

Dr. Hera's getting Tain fixed up now. Looks like I might be taking you up on your offer Inara I don't know if it's going to be safe to go back to the apartment in the near future.

I left the full kit back in Arkham, but I never leave home without a few things, Fors.  Just let me wake Maz up and we'll be ready.

And Adamas?  We've got our own form of transportation.  Hope Ben and Rider did a good job on the suspension…

Muttering under her breath about men and their pigheadedness while working as swiftly as she could, Hera discovers several severely broken ribs, a plethora of bruises and superficial cuts, as well as a shallow but nastily infected slice on one leg.  After Dinah helped with the less serious wounds, Hera began Healing the more serious ones.  Rummaging through her pack, she produced a jar containing a light yellow, oddly scented ointment which she proceeded to smear over the infected leg wound before warming a damp towel in Adamas' microwave and placing it over the cream.  It became rather pungent, though not unpleasant, as Hera moved on to see what she could do for Tain's ribs.

Thanks for the help Dinah.  Tain is usually a handful on a good day and when he's been injured… well, it's usually not a good day.  He's a bit of a challenge, medically speaking, since his body chemistry seems to burn through traditional medications like they were candy.  I'm surprised the Valium has held as long as it has.  He was probably already exhausted, so the drug was able to get a little better hold…  I expect that once I start manipulating these ribs, he'll most likely start rousing so don't be too surprised if things get a little odd in here soon.

Laying both hands across Tain's ribcage, Hera begins chanting softly in her native Cherokee as she starts moving the broken bones into a more appropriate alignment.  All is quiet but for Hera's voice for a while, excepting the sounds of live fire and something heavy being dropped on the roof, until Tain seems to start rousing from his drug-induced sleep.  He thrashes around a little, managing to knock over a few small items, though it seems to phase Hera not at all.  After a few moments of this, he quiets only to try to sit upright and toss off the hands helping him.  Sending a reassuring smile toward DInah, Hera uses her entire weight to force Tain back to the bunk and quickly picks up a syringe she had nearby.  After injecting him swiftly, his eye focuses on her face for only a moment when he mumbles "Not again…" before it flutters closed and he goes limp, leaving Hera free to continue caring for him.  A few more minutes pass during which she manages get his ribs realigned and augment the healing process with her Gift so that he could be moved safely once their watchers were dealt with.  With a sigh she moves away, rubbing her temples from the effort.

There, that should have him stable enough.  Just let me check on this leg and…  Moving the towel, she sees the infection draining from the wound and wrinkles her nose.  Cleaning it with more supplies from her bag, Hera puts in a few small stitches and bandages the wound securely.  Well, that was nasty.  He was probably in a lot more pain and trouble than he'll ever admit.  Now as soon as the gentlemen let me know it's safe to do so, we can move him to my truck and get him somewhere safe to recover.  Which leads us to you, dear.  Hera smiles gently at Dinah, at which point Dinah realizes that the other woman isn't as old as her demeanor implies, somewhere in her early to mid-thirties actually.  Her lighter expression removes considerable years from her face.  If you truly don't feel safe going home and would like some assistance vacating said home, we will be more than happy to lend you aid especially as you have so kindly helped our comrade in his time of need.  Fors and I have a quite secure little haven as do a few of the others, but if you'd rather leave altogether, well… none of us would blame you in the least.  Just let us know and if it is in our ability to give what you need, I'm sure at least one of us will be glad to do so.  We would never knowingly leave you in an unsafe or untenable position if we are able to prevent it.  Is there anything we can do for you, dear?

Dinah was leaning against one of the sides of the trailer. She was slouched in on herself, now that the adrenaline had worn off it was easy to see that she had been living on as much bravado as Tain had. There were pronounced dark circles under her eyes which themselves had the glassy look of someone who'd gone far beyond exhaustion and had not remembered to stop yet. She pulled out her pocket watch and began to fidget with it as she tried to pull her tired mind together for an answer.

"I'm already involved. I might as well keep with it."

He's all yours Trickster, I think we all need something to drink. I hope you like tea. Adamas leaves the gun in easy reach for Fors and drops down the hatch just in time to hear the last of the exchange between Hera and Dinah. As he heads for the cooktop and stretches for the kettle he grimaces slightly. As one newcomer to another Dinah, I must say that while I applaud the spirit, this isn't the type of thing to jump into lightly. He fills the kettle and turns the eye on before turning around. That said, if after taking awhile to rest and consider carefully, IF you decide to continue on this path, I find myself in need of a buisness partner. Adamas then reaches up to gather some mugs and the teapot. In the meantime, rest is the best thing for the weary soul, so as my mother would say, "Sit down before you fall down". Adamas grimaces again as he takes a tin down from another cabinet and spoons loose tea into the pot. Meanwhile, I need a clean shirt, this one reeks of cordite and teargas.

Hera nods in agreement, but eyes Adamas' grimaces with concern.

There does seem to be more safety in small numbers than in trying to survive solo around here, but don't tell me, Adamas, that you've been injured at some point and have failed to mention it?  Surely you have learned something from Tain's foolishness this day?  We are as grateful for your assistance as we are for Dinah's so what's happened?  At this point, I'm quite certain you can't have anything wrong that I haven't seen, at least in part, from this bunch.  What hurts?

Fixing him with a no-nonsense glare, Hera waits for him to come clean regarding the winces of discomfort and her expression tells him that no prevarication will be tolerated as she moves to lay a friendly arm across Dinah's shoulders.  Guiding the young woman to a seat, Hera makes her as comfortable as she can and rummages through her pack once more.  A few moments later, she has retrieved a few pears and a small baggie of home-made granola.  Plunking the granola and a pear down in front of Dinah, Hera heads to the hatch and calls up to Fors, tossing a juicy piece of fruit up to him when his face momentarily appears.  Handing the last one off to Adamas, she eyes him expectantly as she awaits his answer to her questions.

Dinah muttered a thank you. Carefully she slipped the pocket watch back into it's place in her hip pocket. She blinked at the food for a moment until the smell registered with the more basic processing of the hind brain. She ate the food fast enough to not recognize the taste of any of it.  The food consumed she folded her arms on the small table and rested her chin on her forearms. She blinked, once… twice… and the third time her eyes didn't open as she fell asleep.

OOC: And I'm out for a few days. Feel free to move Dinah somewhere so she won't get a kink in her neck.

Fors' watchful eyes do not miss the enigmatic glimmer of enchanted mass which Dinah's exhausted lapse brings, but wordlessly he ignores it, proffering instead his words upon his captive.  Using as much the threat of a future thread's revelation as he does by outright proffering of current-day mayhem in his captive's name, soon the relevant details have been extracted.  Adamas, I regret the necessity, but you must relocate your encampment exceedingly soon as they have marked this locale due to our combined efforts.  Tink, our foe anticipates our retreat and we must rely utterly upon your aid, as our most providential independent escape route intersect and then abandons yours; I trust your experience amongst ours.  Further, your resistance to mine own enigmatic antiquities of phrase have prepared you sufficiently for all comers… Or, to put it amonst popular parlance, hell is on our collective tails, and you're the key.  I pray your bag has been sufficiently stocked, as we're all now headed your way.

Damnit!  Not a good time, dark ones… Grumblng under her breath, Hera heaves Tain to her shoulder and bodily drags him from the trailer to her truck.  Strapping him to a bunk in the back she shouts back to the others.  There's room in here for Dinah too or you're more than welcome to have her ride with you, whichever, but nap time's over for the rest of us.  Time to haul tail!

Jumping behind the wheel of the truck, Hera brings the massive machine to life.  Love, Andy's present is still on board should it be required, but will you be joining us in the conventional manner or are you scouting again?  Not waiting for an answer, she gets the vehicle moving back toward town, hoping to intersect with Tink soon so they can complete their escape.

Adamas accepts the fruit with a sheepish smile and reaches for a thermos andfills it with the tea. A couple pulled stitches m'lady. You've had a patient that needed you much more, and they were scheldued to come out in a few days anyway. He picks Dinah up and places her in the bunk before reaching under it, puling straps like from a gurney and securing her to it. Then grabs some shells and loads the shotgun as he locks the door hops into the cab, peeling out after Hera and keyed the headset. Well, here we go again.

Quickly and gratefully munching down his own pear slice, Fors ensures adamas' shotgun's safety is set then tosses it down the hatch, and then grabs his prisoner and lowers him to the ground by an ankle.  After thus ensuring all attainable loose threads are accounted for, he dives to the ground and quickly flits to Hera's beast.  Entering, he gives her a quick kiss and then wordlessly moves to retrieve the gift referenced; after a few minutes' worth of struggling with it, soon a Browning is firmly mounted upon the rear portion of Hera's truck.  As you know my love, I loate killing, but this is an excellent tire exploder and engine wrecker… and it's never good to turn down a gift from a friend! *cackle*  My truck can look after itself, and if they destroy it… well, it's served its purpose.
Alright folks, this is going to get crazy… ordinarily we try to maintain a low profile, and mounting high caliber weapons on a repurposed fire engine is pretty much the polar opposite of that, but they're pulling out all the stops; you should have seen what they armed the buggies with to stop Hera getting in, but I doubt they'll do any less for preventing our leaving.  One blessing, I doubt that they'll have any occult or fishy resources handy, as they would have used them by now.  To quote a character always close to my heart, SPOOOON!  That is to say, CHAAAARGE!
