Fer all we know, Andy's bin deified an's gonna come back azza next Bacchus, ter git evr'one reeeal boozed up.
Tho yah, safe money's on jes bringin' th' Insiders' timeline in synch wi' th' comic's. (but sayin' 'at'd be a whole lot less fun ter only say that'un plain-like!  )

Umm . . . no. Sue will remain as Sue. Why would I change a strong, intelligent, brave woman into a man with a name that is obviously overcompensation? :)

So did anybody else start singing "A Boy Named Sue" when they read Bounty's suggestion?
Oh and in the DC-Style reboot, Tain would be Canadian. Since Michigan is practically Canada anyway it would make no real difference at all.

Then take the alien police man, and make him a Native American Mutant, then take all three roll them up , send them to hell and resurrect them, bringing the soul of the Pharaoh's lover and the partner of the Alien cop into continuity. It's a reboot.

Actually, I'm floating a secondary character concept based of equal parts Fides, Barbara Gordon, and a girl I used to date who WAS named Courtney. Though I called her Bella Donna. Does that count?
And as long as I'm bringing up Delphi, what do people think of a character who's basically a ghost in the shell, providing serious recon and data to missioneers without actually ever showing up for one herself.

You may want to re-think that… it can leave everyone (including yourself) feeling somehow cheated. You'd effectively be forbidden from ever partaking of a mission, and could be written out of existence for the duration of many of them (comms blackout, anyone?); on the other side of the coin, it could leave others feeling like they're carrying your slack. Because, let's face it, you'd be doing your fun stuff in setting things up for your brainchildren plotlines but not really backing others up 100% on fulfilling their own so much.
Perhaps your GitS could run an experimental bot for missions? You don't always have to participate, maybe your mech is down for repairs often, but keeping the option open is (IMHO) a good idea. All of that is just this birdbrain's thoughts, though.

Wow two pages already on the warm-up! This is just a special note to the lurkers, don't worry about a set character! It's just a warm-up so do whatever you really feel like and have some fun! Worry about creating a character after we get an official startup

Hi. Completely new to this forum, if you can't tell.
I have always wanted to play through a Call of Cthuhlu game, but have had a difficult time finding anyone interested that wasn't already gaming with someone else.
So I suppose this could be the next best thing!
I have a character ready and everything, but it would be nice to have someone look it over before I begin attempting to RP him.
I will PM what I have if anyone is interested.

Yuppers it's totally unofficial atm so you can just jump in as your everyday self if you need to. The only rule is that you enjoy yourself. If you don't, well let's just say I'll load For's up with some bird seed and chili and send him your way or more specifically your car's way. Don't get it? Then get in the unoffical thread and start playing to figure it out!

The character I built discovered something he shouldn't have and attracted the attention of an otherworldly being. He was taken by something, he doesn't know what, and used for several years. His memory is almost nil for that peroid, but he has a feeling that something is going down in Innsmouth.
He also seeks magic to use to further his own ends. Thus far he has had no luck with anything that he would be willing to use.

Ladies and Gentlemen, good evening. I've wanted to join the forum RPG for a while but couldn't think of an idea for a good character. That's no longer a problem. My problem now is that i have too many ideas. So I'm giving you the choice. I'm looking for your votes. I have three ideas:
#1: A shapeshifter descended from the Native American spirit Coyote who is forced by an ancient oath to hunt the dark forces who would prey on mankind. Note: That last part is loosely based on a real myth, admittedly very very loosely.
#2: A Discordian magician who comes to fight the ancient enemies of his sect. Made mostly to get some Illuminatus Trilogy! weird occult action going.
#3: A Delta Green operative whose come down to keep the Innsmouth situation from getting out of control again. The very fact that it has gotten as far as it has is probably deeply embarassing to the higher ups considering that Innsmouth is where Delta Green was founded.
So vote now and see who wil be the Insider's newest member! I'll probably count up the votes Saturday and make my decision then.
