Now that…is a proper Friday cliffhanger.

And you will not believe what happens on Monday!

I want to thank everyone for their contributions on Wenedsday and Thursday and the feedback we received on the Finale page. I can’t remember when we’ve had such a response. Have a great weekend, don’t forget to vote and we’ll see you on Monday for the continuation of the Heartache sequence!

So on the previous pages the discussion has spent a lot of time on whether or not its okay to kill someone given the situation and this (obviously) situation specifically. I don’t know that anyone has that definitive answer just the answer that they have come to given their life experiences.

My viewpoints on this subject are somewhat known, but my viewpoints don’t automatically extend to the characters in the pages of Shadowgirls. I don’t think its okay to make your characters a mouthpiece for your viewpoints unless that character happen to shares your particular viewpoint. There are writers who do that and personally don’t think it makes for very interesting stories.

For example, I don’t think its okay that Charon bangs strangers in her trailer while her daughter is home but Charon has her own set of rules and that is what makes her interesting to me. Paul’s view on what is happening isn’t especially my view either, but as we’ve shown he is a particularly dedicated M.E. He wouldn’t allow the D.A. to railroad Charon because the evidence didn’t support the theory. It’s possible that he thought Charon was guilty but that was besides the point.

Shadowgirls…our comic… isn’t about answering those questions or trying to soapbox viewpoints. Its about people and how they deal with whatever situations they are dealt. Be they giant fish monsters or conflicts of concsience.

Oh and its about attractive people in those situations. Vote if you’d like to see a piece of art that D-Rey made. But two fair warnings.

1. It may or not be safe for work depending.

2. It’s total cheesecake and girls might not like it.

We really have put poor Lindsey through the wringer haven’t we? She has come a long way though. Enough to carry a whole subplot on her own and through sheer force of will make what could have been a throwaway villain and supporting scenery M.E. into real characters. (She wouldn’t even let me make her into a scenery character.) But someone please chime in if I start to go Robert Jordan on you and do whole books about the supporting casts supporting cast…:P
