I am right in the middle of my three-day whirlwind Christmas Tour. I am posting this right before I go back out into the stores in search of the last few things I will be buying for Christmas. (Including a Cyber Slammer Ratchet Transformer for my six-year old son… I AM SUCH A SUCKER!!) But what am I gonna do.
I can’t buy all of you a Cyber Slammer Ratchet Transformer, but I can give you this. Our most sincere wishes for a Happy and Safe Holiday and this little card. Additionally, we have an announcement coming up in January, but clues to this announcement are placed in the vote incentives.

As we approach the end of the year and our first six months in operation it made me want to review our goals from the beginning. Starting with the whole Gilmore Girls, H.P. Lovecraft thing. That was how we described our story from day one and I feel like we’ve stuck to it pretty well. However, I am neither a big Gilmore Girls watcher or Lovecraft reader. (The other Dave has sworn to send me DVD’s to watch but while I’ve done lots of research, I have trouble plowing through the actual stories.)
But to the best of my knowledge, I feel good about our progress as we approach the end of 2007. We’ve exceeded expectations for feedback, fanbase, and even new revenues and I like to think that we’ll continue to make inroads in 2008. Sure we’re nowhere near places like Penny Arcade or PvP, but everyone had to start somewhere. One of our other goals was to do a comic that appealed to female readers as well as male and outside of a few…er…hiccups…I think we’re doing okay. (How many of you are girls anyway? Not that we don’t appreciate those male type ones but I’m just curious…Is that a sexist question?)
But, all in all, we couldn’t do it without you guys, so I hope you feel like we treat you as valuable as you are.
Oh and the strip….yeah. That’s a bummer. I guess Charon didn’t think through that whole face punching thing. But in honor of tomorrow being our final story page update of the year, the preview for tomorrow…IS REALLY GOOD. Make with clickies…
Sometimes, you just want to actually try and decapitate someone with a PUNCH. This is what I asked of Mr. Reynolds and when he sent me this page, I was like #%^# YES! If you could see the car windows they’d be #@#^ shattering! Everything I do looks boring. It’s words on pages. Words that sit for weeks or months as an idea, waiting to be brought to life. Pages like this one makes all that waiting worthwhile.

Welcome back. We return to our titular characters, now at the linguistic mercy of the Deep Ones. I don’t know how much more our comment section could withstand insights into the life of the Snow family. But don’t let the lightness of the situation fool you, there’s some questions being answered in there. And even more of them this week!

Is Jack noble for staying with his wife or cowardly? Does Chrissy love Jack or just want what she can’t have? What is happening with Charon and Becka? Is Sawyer dead or alive? Will we ever find out what happened to Misty in that cornfield?!!

Wow, its the middle of the week already. Time sure flies when you’re pinned down by another damned ice storm. I should look on the bright side, this one didn’t knock out my power. Moving on from my bitterness, I will say that outpouring of varying emotions on Jackson Snow has surprised the hell out of me. We haven’t seen the likes of this since the legendary Lindsey debacle of ‘07.
And there’s even people feeling sorry for Christmas?! Is this the internets or not? (You guys are all softies..
)
I learned something from this page. The word cockbag is not hyphenated. It’s a compound word and it’s actually located in the slang dictionary. (Or so one of my editors said) So that means I didn’t make it up. Damn that collective consciousness!!
