This strip is totally Mr. Reynold’s brainchild. It is written by him and drawn by his personal fish monster and booth builder extraordinaire, Nik Ronis. Nik designed and built our Chicago booth out of steel. I’m convinced he forged it himself on the anvil he keeps in his basement. The man is a tree. And he’s been a great help on this entire project. So please enjoy our little tribute. It’s one of the few times that I’ll let Reynolds write anything too.
Some of you may be remember Misty from her great work on Shadowbabies. But you might not know what a talented painter she is as well. Due to the success of Shadowgirls, we are doing a second print of Issue 01 and I asked Misty to draw and paint the alternate cover. Expect to see it soon in our collection of posters!
We have arrived at the end of issue 02…and it doesn’t look good for our heroines. Stick with us and see what happens next!
We’ve got some interesting stuff coming up and you also may have noticed that we have a little more advertising and what not on the site. Apparently our traffic has increased to the point where that kind of stuff is worthwhile. Expect a few more updates in the next week.

All right. It is October 1st and we are fast approaching the end of issue 02. (Thank you all for your very creative suggestions for what Becka should do to Chip. I guess she prefers the direct approach) That being said, there are some minor changes we’d like to make you all aware of.
First, the Voting for Top Web Comics begins anew today. That means that all of the votes for September are banked and voting begins to start moving your favorite webcomic up the charts for October. You guys did an incredible job for September and to show our appreciation we have begun to offer sneak peeks into tomorrow’s strip for everyone who votes! You’ll see that in addition to the top banner there is a small tally vote button off to the right! So please keep voting for Shadowgirls and keep us on the front page. It really goes a long way towards improving our traffic and making sure we get to keep doing this.
Second, we have also joined Buzzcomix’s Top100. We haven’t set up previews for that one yet, but we will be working on offering something different to keep the incentives fresh on each side.
And last, we have some cool new stuff to offer coming up on the break between issue 02 and 03. So make sure you check back with us daily for our cool updates!
